Multi-dimensional Modeling

Affect Engineering organizes the valuations of entities for purposes along six dimensions:

  1. The first dimension is time, and is measured along the x-axis.
  2. The second dimension is the valuation of an entity for a specific purpose, measured in Emotional Units (i.e., anxiety invested in the entity).  This is measured along the y-axis.
  3. The third dimension organizes different entities being valued for the same purpose along the z-axis.  If desired, the valuations of entities for the purpose may be organized along positive z-values, while the valuations of those same entities for the complementary purpose may be organized along negative z-values.
  4. The fourth dimension organizes all of the purposes that an individual harbors.  These would be measured along the d-axis, for drive, and only positive d-values would be used, with zero being reserved for the purpose with the highest priority.
  5. The fifth dimension organizes vicarious valuations of entities for specific purposes along the c-axis, for complex numbers.  Like the fourth dimension, only positive c-values would be used, with zero being reserved for valuations made by the self that are not vicarious.
  6. The sixth dimension organizes valuations of entities for purposes (both those made for the self and those that are vicariously experienced) for everyone being modeled.  This is measured along the e-axis, for everyone.  Like the fourth and fifth dimensions, only positive e-values would be used.  Zero is not reserved for anything on the e-axis.
