Affect Engineering is a blended approach to the psychology of emotions that incorporates philosophy, physics, biology, psychology, logic, and utilizes the universal language of math to model them. Affect Engineering is also explicated with a neurological network model and a physics inspired theory of drives, but it is primarily concerned with the flow of energy across time and this can be visualized with vector fields. Affect Engineering’s functions are also employed to explain the conception of emotions at both the microscopic level of action potentials and neurotransmitters, and at the macroscopic level of decision making. My method for dealing with spam was a bit draconian. Logging in to comment is currently restricted to specific IP addresses. I modified that from the control panel after the last brute force attack. There are other options, but for me this was the most practical decision.
